Emeraude Toubia

 Emeraude Toubia (born March 1 1989) is a Canadian-born American actress and model, who played Isabelle Lightwood on the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. She is of Mexican and Lebanese descent, she has previously was on the Venevision telenovelas Cosita linda as Dulce Rincon and Voltea pa"what you are admires as Stephanie Karam.Toubia was born in Montreal, Quebec. Her family was from Brownsville, Texas as an single parent. Her mother, Mirta Sonia (nee Solis), was born and raised in Ciudad Victoria, Mexico, and her father was a Lebanese American. Toubia's paternal grandparents came from Lebanon's Koura District. In 1999, Toubia was ten years old and made her first appearance on television in Televisa's El Mundo de los Ninos. In 2008, Toubia became well-known when she was selected to be part of the second season Univision's beauty pageant series Nuestra Belleza Latina. Here contestants were instructed in acting and dancing as well as presenting. Toubia was the first third place finisher. She has appeared in commercials for brands like Garnier, J. C. Penney and Sony since then.
